Youth Advisory Council

Our Youth Advisory Council brings together eight elected juniors and seniors who step up as leaders both at camp and throughout the year. By helping plan programming in the off-season and serving as role models during camp, they shape experiences that inspire and connect every camper. Their voices ensure our youth programs continue to grow with the needs of the next generation.

We’re excited to welcome the following leaders to the 2026 Youth Advisory Council: Carrie, Ramsey County; Brooklynn, Ramsey County; Zander, Kandiyohi County; Reese, Kandiyohi County; Mitchell, Ramsey County; Vance, Ramsey County; Angel, Hennepin County, and Kalleigh, Renville County.

Leadership Opportunities

County-Level Opportunities

Leadership doesn’t end when camp is over. County-level involvement opens the door to new opportunities for graduates to stay engaged, grow as leaders and make a meaningful impact close to home. By carrying forward the skills they’ve gained at camp, young people can continue building connections, influencing programs and strengthening their communities as active members of our organization.

National Opportunities

National Farmers Union offers young people the chance to take their leadership further through programs like the Youth Advisory Council, the All-States Leadership Summit and advocacy initiatives. These opportunities build leadership and advocacy skills while connecting participants with peers nationwide, expanding their worldview, networks and the foundation they built at camp.
